LifePoint Hospitals believes in Making Communities Healthier

About LifePoint

LifePoint Hospitals was founded in 1999 on the idea that everyone deserves quality healthcare close to home and that strong hospitals create strong communities. We began with a network of 23 hospitals in non-urban markets across the nation united by a singular mission: Making Communities Healthier.

We are a financially strong company with significant hospital operations expertise. We recognize that every community has unique healthcare needs, and for more than a decade, we have been able to ensure the highest standards of quality care and excellent service to patients at each of our hospitals by understanding and responding to these needs. LifePoint has a track record of investing in state-of-the-art technology, facility improvements, physician recruitment and staff development. We give our hospitals the resources they need to provide the highest quality care and services to their communities and succeed in today’s healthcare marketplace.

Today, LifePoint has grown to a leading hospital company with more than $4.5 billion in revenues and more than 60 hospital campuses in 21 states. We are the sole hospital provider in most of our communities and, in 2011, became the only private organization in the country chosen by the Department of Health and Human Services to be a Hospital Engagement Network in the Partnership for Patients initiative, a nationwide public-private collaboration to improve the quality, safety, and affordability of healthcare for all Americans. Our more than 38,500 employees and 4,100 physician partners remain unified in striving to achieve our mission each day.
