LifePoint Presents Lapham Award for Extraordinary Integrity to Jon Wall

Brentwood, Tenn. (February 2012) – The Board of Directors of LifePoint Hospitals® (NASDAQ: LPNT), a leading hospital company focused on providing quality healthcare services close to home, recently presented the William V. Lapham Award for Extraordinary Integrity to Jonathan C. Wall, chief financial officer of the company’s Delta Division. The award, created in honor of one of LifePoint’s founding board members, has only been presented on three other occasions.

Wall has been a member of the LifePoint team since its inception in 1999. As Delta Division CFO, he is charged with overseeing strategic and financial operations of LifePoint facilities in Kentucky and Tennessee. He also assists in the due diligence, acquisition and integration of LifePoint’s new hospitals. Previously, Wall served in other divisional CFO roles, supporting LifePoint Hospitals in Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming, Texas and Alabama. He also served as CFO at LifePoint’s Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Ky., from 2000 to 2003, and as CFO at Riverton Memorial Hospital in Riverton, Wyo., from 1995 to 2000. Wall holds both a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a Master of Business Administration/ Health Services Administration from the University of Utah.

(Bill) Lapham, one of LifePoint’s founding board members and former chairman of the company’s Audit and Compliance Committee.
