Collaborations to Transform Community Care
When LifePoint partnered Havasu Regional Medical Center in 2005, the hospital was in crisis. Years of conflict has created a rift between hospital leaders and the local medical staff, and healthcare delivery in the region was suffering. LifePoint engaged area physicians, collaborated with them to improve care in the community, and worked to recruit new, needed doctors to the area. The company created a unique joint venture that allowed the physicians to invest in Havasu Regional and have direct input on every aspect of the hospital. Today, Havasu Regional and its medical staff are thriving.
From Bankruptcy to Regional Health Leader
More than $30 million has been invested in new technology, services, and facilities at Logan Regional Medical Center. The hospital’s Emergency Room is one of the busiest in West Virginia. A new ER with 22 private rooms and three trauma rooms was greatly appreciated by the community, as was a new Women’s Health Center, featuring private labor and delivery rooms, an 11-bed nursery and a spacious viewing area for proud family and friends.
